Amrita VPN (amvpn2) is a software framework for developing secure networking applications, such as Network VPNs or Secure Protocol Gateways. Such software typically run on middleboxes and requires a highly secure and efficient networking code implementation. Amrita VPN provides a framework for implementing secure networking code and a set of remote APIs, allowing the network-code to be reused for many applications. Amrita VPN's remote API is based on the powerful and easy-to-use Internet Communication Engine, allowing applications written in different programming languages such as C++, Java, or Ruby to invoke the API. The project is currently under development. Latest code may be checked out from the sourceforge.net project SVN repository. Since the code is under development, it may give build problems, and definitely is NOT RECOMMENDED for use at this stage. We will be updating these pages as development progresses. Jayaraj Poroor This work is being done as part of Centre of Relevance and Excellence (CORE) in Cyber Security, sponsored by Technology Information Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC), India. We promote free software use through the Kollam Linux Users Group operating at Amrita University. This work was initially supported in part by Department of Science and Technology, India, under the Grant Number: SR/S3/EECE/09/2004, titled "Techniques for Secure Communication in Emerging Wireless Ubiquitous Networks" |
